The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, and we never see your measurements.

What we collect
We do not ask for or store your name, email address, or any account information, because there are no accounts. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us.
Two things are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers: your imperial or metric preference, and — if you copy a shareable link — your inputs, which are encoded in that URL by you and only visible to whoever you send it to.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused, aggregate analytics to see which calculators are used and which are broken. It records page URLs, referrers, approximate country, and device type. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other sites.
Advertising
This site does not currently display third-party advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ad code is loaded, and it will describe the cookies involved and how to opt out.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Following such a link takes you to the retailer's own site, where their privacy policy applies — they may set cookies to attribute the referral. Affiliate and sponsored links are labelled on the page.
Contractor quote requests
Some pages offer to connect you with local contractors. That is an optional link to a third-party partner. We do not collect the details you give them; anything you submit is governed by that partner's own privacy policy, which you should read before submitting personal information.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning home projects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. You can clear the locally stored unit preference at any time by clearing your browser's site data. For anything held by our advertising or analytics providers, use the opt-out links above or contact those providers directly.
